About Me 2017-11-19T17:08:24+00:00

Adam Hosey, the owner of Adam Hosey Photography, is a professional motorsports photographer. He found his passion for photography in high school, when a friend’s dad had a dark room. They would go to Paine Field, and shoot the air shows, then go back to the dark room, where they learned to develop the film.

He started shooting the Unlimited Hydroplane Racing series in 1987. He then shot for the ProFormance Racing School in Kent, WA in 1999 . In 2002, he had had the opportunity to travel with Team Seattle to the prestigious Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona as the team photographer. He has photographed local track days SCCA and Vintage motorsports. He also shoots private client photo sessions, has designed collector’s book of private car collections, and produces gallery-quality prints, matting and framing.

He is very passionate about both cars and photography. Listen to Adam’s podcast with CarsYeah.com.

Always Searching For The Shot

To Adam Hosey the world is infused with a soft sentiment – A sailboat crossing slowly in front of the setting sun, a cool breeze rustling the leaves of a tree on a warm sunny day or a bone white lighthouse juxtaposed against a brilliant blue sky — these are images that evoke emotions. These are emotions that Adam strives to capture in his photographs.

“Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body. But rather, to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming…
WOW what a ride.”

“There is only you and your camera. The limitations in your photography are in yourself, for what we see is what we are.”
“Black and white are the colors of photography. They symbolize the alternatives of hope and despair to which mankind is subjected.”
